Description

Before I go on to the complaining, let me note a few things.

Resolution: 2048 x 1233
Density: 10,000 [My Highest. EVER. So far.]
ERT: c. 27 HOURS.

My computer was running low on memory for those fateful hours. All 27 of them. It only added 3 hours because of my other renders. It was going to be titled "Stardust". It had little specks of light dancing around the flower, like stars in the distance. The high density was supposed to make those specks more defined.

But those specks never made it out alive. All I was left with was this flower drifting alone through space. Deep, dead, empty space. No light shining. No little stars to welcome it's arrival. Just the cold, still emptiness of the edge of the universe.

It hit the edge of space, and in a flash of light, my deviantART page could be seen. The flower found it's way into the Submission page and ended up here. So now [I hope] you understand my disappointment with this fractal. The only reason I keep it is because it's the highest density I've done so far, and because my mum said it should be here.

Love you, Mom.

In full view, it looks better, as you say. What I like is that you showed some originality in your use of the bloom fractal! I see too many of them that all look alike.

I've rendered at 10,000 a few times, and once even at 15,000. I'm not sure it does anything to improve the look of the picture. Maybe if you have a very thin, wispy, and fine flame, it may help to use a very high density. Little specks get wiped out by using a high density. It's what rendering does. It gets rid of all the little miscellaneous stuff. I've talked to other Apo users who don't go above 2000. My renders usually don't take longer than one and a half hours. If they go longer than 2 hours, I reduce the density before they even start! Of course, my resolution is always lower than yours. That would make a difference. But 27 hours? Goodness! :toast: Might you consider rendering at 5000 a few times and seeing whether you're happy with the result? :)
